Israel-Asia Center Briefing – November 21, 2023 – for our networks in Asia to learn more about the latest updates on the Israel-Hamas war with guest speaker, Ambassador Mark Regev, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel.

The session also addressed the current situation of the hostages in Gaza, as well as the implications of the conflict on the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, and potential future relations between Israel and Indonesia.

Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel Ambassador Mark Regev is a Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel and Chair of the Abba Eban Institute for Diplomacy at Reichman University.

Prior to these roles, he was Israel’s Ambassador to the UK (2016-2020), Advisor to the Prime Minister on International Communications & Public Affairs (2007-2016) and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel (2004-2007).

Ambassador Regev also held several diplomatic posts including Vice Consul in Hong Kong (1991-1993), First Secretary in Beijing (1993-1996) and Counsellor in Washington DC (1999-2004).

He holds a BA in Political Science and Modern History from the University of Melbourne and an MA in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, as well as a MSc in Management from Boston University.
